Fabrizio Romano shares overnight Radu Dragusin update for Tottenham and Bayern Munich fans

January 10, 2024

Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of signing Radu Dragusin are hanging in the balance after Bayern Munich submitted their bid to sign him last night.

Spurs completed the signing of Timo Werner on loan yesterday, and he is an exciting addition. The priority, however, is a new defender, and Dragusin appears to be the top target. Fabrizio Romano has shared the latest on the situation.

Radu Dragusin will make ‘final decision’ on Bayern Munich and Tottenham today
It really did look like Tottenham had sealed the deal to sign Radu Dragusin yesterday.

It was revealed that Spurs reached full agreement with Genoa to sign the Romanian defender, with Djed Spence set to move on loan in the other direction.

All that was left was for Dragusin to fly to North London and seal his move, but there was a late twist last night – Bayern Munich tabled their bid to sign him.

Genoa are reportedly ready to accept offers from both Bayern and Tottenham now, so it’s up to the player to decide which club he wants to sign for.

Romano has revealed that Dragusin will make his ‘final decision’ today.

He tweeted at 1:05 am last night: “FC Bayern have sent important salary bid to Radu Dragusin tonight — also club’s project has been presented to the Romanian centre back. Bayern director, pushing as they want to hijack the deal.

“Dragusin will make final decision today (Wednesday) as Spurs bid remain valid on the table.”

Nervous hours for Tottenham

Almost every Tottenham fan expected Radu Dragusin to become a new Spurs player after news of an agreement between the clubs emerged yesterday.

However, Bayern have complicated things now by offering him a move to the Bundesliga.

It’s not an easy decision for Dragusin. Tottenham definitely have an exciting project and it really does look like they are building something special.

However, Bayern Munich are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and he is guaranteed to win trophies there if he joins them.

A decision is expected to be made today by Dragusin, and until that happens, it will be a nervous wait for Tottenham fans.
