Everton rejected chance to sign Chelsea player on deadline day

Everton were reportedly offered the chance to sign Chelsea winger Omari Hutchinson on loan on transfer deadline day but rejected the opportunity.

There was a lot going on for Chelsea on deadline day, and at one point it looked like Hutchinson was actually very close to joining West Brom on loan. But they eventually had a change of heart and went for another option instead.

It’s now emerged that Everton were offered the chance to bring Hutchinson in, but rejected it, according to the Mirror.

Everton are struggling in the Premier League and are fighting a relegation battle. As a Chelsea fan, I am very pleased that Hutchinson didn’t head there on deadline day. It’s frustrating that he didn’t get a suitable loan move, but he will continue to develop at Chelsea in the U21s and more first team experience this season and hopefully get a good loan move in the summer.
