Erik ten Hag has a chance to prove doubters wrong with one key team change v Galatasaray

November 29, 2023

Erik ten Hag has a big decision to make on Wednesday when Manchester United take on Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Manchester United are on the verge of elimination from the competition but can guarantee their spot in the knockout stages if they win against Galatasaray as well as German giants Bayern Munich.

Erik ten Hag will certainly have some tough decisions to make ahead of the game with his team selection being vital to his side’s chances of progression in the Champions League.

There is one decision, in particular, which will show how far Ten Hag has come as manager of the club as he tries to continue the club’s upward curve.

Ten Hag’s big decision
United spent £84 million to sign Brazilian right-winger Antony and it would be a fair assessment to say that the forward has been largely inconsistent during his time in England.

He has flashes of brilliance in games, his three goals in his first three starts for the club, and the goal against Barcelona come to mind but also his struggles to affect games this season has been an issue.

Without a goal or an assist, the 23-year-old has been in and out of the team and deservedly so. Antony missed United’s 3-0 win over Everton due to a muscle problem but the Brazilian has been spotted in training ahead of tomorrow’s clash.
