Di Marzio: Probable Milan XI to face Cremonese – Origi and Ballo-Toure to be entrusted
AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli will have to do without Theo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud for the trip to face Cremonese tomorrow, and some team news has emerged.
According to a report from Di Marzio, Giroud will be replaced by Divock Origi. The former Liverpool striker got off the mark at the end of October against Monza and will try to repay Pioli’s trust also against Cremonese. Behind him, Brahim Diaz will be the playmaker ahead of Charles De Ketelaere, with the Spaniard hoping to build on his 4 goals and 1 assist in 11 league games.
On the right wing it will be Junior Messias, and on the left will be the immovable Rafael Leao who hasn’t scored since 22 October against Monza. The double pivot will be composed of Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer.
In defence, Pioli will choose Fode Ballo-Touré to replace the suspended Theo Hernandez with Fikayo Tomori, Simon Kjaer and Pierre Kalulu completing the back four in front of Ciprian Tatarusanu who will remain in goal, awaiting the return of Mike Maignan.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Kjaer, Tomori, Ballo-Touré; Tonali, Bennacer; Messias, Brahim Diaz, Leão; Origi.
