DETAILS OF KIM-MIN JAE’S BAYERN MUNICH CONTRACT REVEALED

June 20, 2023

Napoli’s Kim-Min jae will earn a reported €17m gross salary at Bayern Munich, according to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins. The South Korean will put pen to paper of a five-year contract with the Bundesliga club until 2028.

Bayern Munich will activate Kim-Min jae’s release clause of around €47m, which becomes active on July 1 for the first two weeks of the month. Should the move materialise, the player’s entourage are also expected to receive around €15m in fees.

It was reported yesterday that Kim-Min jae’s move to Bayern Munich was advancing with an agreement on personal terms expected in a timely manner.

The Rekordmeister, who secured the Bundesliga title on the final day last season, are in pole position to sign the 26-year-old defender.

Manchester United had also shown an interest in signing Kim – who is currently completing his mandatory basic military training – but as reported via our colleagues at Get Italian Football News, their interest hasn’t developed.

Bayern Munich’s need to strengthen their defence comes after Lucas Hernandez told the club that he would like to leave, after hearing upon PSG’s interest. Benjamin Pavard is also expected to leave the club after informing bosses that he wouldn’t be extending his contract beyond 2024.
