David Moyes shares exciting ‘plan’ to hand opportunity to Everton outcast, he’s only played 15 minutes

April 19, 2025

Everton now only have seven games remaining until the 2024/25 campaign comes to an end.

David Moyes could secure his side mathematical Premier League survival this weekend in their game against Manchester City.

But Moyes has already accepted Everton’s safety, with such a big gap on the bottom three created.

The Toffees will now be looking ahead to the summer and there are several players the club need to decide over their future.

Everton have plenty of players coming to the end of their deals and there are numerous players who Moyes is yet to really get a good look at.

Against Nottingham Forest, Moyes handed Armando Broja a rare start for Everton, and he’s now said more players could follow.

David Moyes ready to hand Youssef Chermiti Everton minutes
Broja is looking set to return to Chelsea at the end of his loan deal this summer.

But Everton have more striker issues to deal with and Youssef Chermiti is a player who will feel this season has been a huge disappointment.

Speaking in his press conference on Friday, Moyes admitted he is willing to hand the Portuguese striker some minutes before the end of the season.

“I am trying to see a few of them playing,” Moyes said from Finch Farm.

“My plan is that they all, somewhere along the line, get minutes and chances to play. Youssef will be one of them.

“We probably haven’t seen as much of him because we have Broja who is just coming back and Beto in half-decent form. But I will try and get Youssef some minutes at the appropriate time.”

Chermiti has now returned from injury after becoming another Everton player who has seen his season hindered massively by fitness issues.

How much game time the striker could earn before the end of the term will be interesting to see, but some Everton fans love what they see in Chermiti.
