Crystal Palace Set for Talks with ‘Elite’ Premier League Manager, He Wants to Join

April 12, 2026

Crystal Palace are interested in hiring Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola to replace Oliver Glasner, journalist Alan Nixon has suggested.

The Selhurst Park side are expected to hold talks with the Spanish tactician, who could leave Bournemouth at the end of his contract in June.

Iraola is open to a departure from the Dorset coast at the end of the season and has stalled talks over a new contract as he continues to consider his options.

Athletic Bilbao have also been linked with interest in the 43-year-old in recent weeks, as well as Tottenham, who appointed manager Roberto De Zerbi on a five-year deal earlier this month.

According to Nixon, Iraola has stalled contract talks with Bournemouth to keep Crystal Palace keen, having been on the Eagles’ shortlist for months.

While the Selhurst Park side feared he would be snapped up by Tottenham or Athletic Bilbao, Iraola is claimed to be willing to speak to Palace about his future, as he is interested in succeeding Glasner this summer.
