Borussia Mönchengladbach Make New Franck Honorat Offer as Talks Continue With Brest
As reported by L’Équipe, Borussia Mönchengladbach are set to redouble their efforts to sign Brest forward Franck Honorat this summer.
The German club have been long-term admirers of the versatile French attacker, having come close to signing him last summer. However, the deal collapsed late in the window. ‘Gladbach had submitted a €10m bid for Honorat, but the Bretons wanted at least €15m. A new bid of just €9m has been made in recent days, and talks are expected to continue in the coming days. Lille, however, are also targeting the 26-year-old in this window.
Despite playing for a struggling side, Honorat has long been one of France’s most underrated players, ranking fourth for key passes, while only three players provided more expected goals from their shot assists this season. Honorat signed a new deal with the Ligue 1 side in January, potentially extending his stay until 2026.
