Boost for Manchester United, Real Madrid in Bid for PSG’s Prime Target

January 24, 2024

On Tuesday, several reports suggested that Paris Saint-Germain hit the accelerator button to land Lille OSC defender Leny Yoro. However, anyone preparing for the teenager to arrive in the French capital could be disappointed, at least for now.

One of the reports revealed that Yoro has agreed to join PSG, with Lille seeking a €60 million transfer fee. The details also indicate that PSG aims to secure his signing this month, and if that proves challenging, they plan to finalize the deal in the summer.

Nonetheless, Lille’s club president, Olivier Létang, denied any reports that Yoro is leaving the squad this transfer window or that talks between them and PSG are ongoing.

“Leny Yoro will not leave the club in January, so there are no negotiations [or] discussions contrary to what some suggest,” Létang told Le Parisien.

Clubs like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Manchester United are likely pleased with this news, as they are reportedly interested in the Frenchman.

However, the 18-year-old is anticipated to be the subject of a bidding war when summer arrives. This is because his contract expires in 2025, and if Yoro doesn’t extend, Les Dogues will have to sell him.
