Bayern Munich star Leroy Sané says his game has matured

Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané thinks that his game has progressed nicely with age, but he does acknowledge that things are different than when he was a younger player.
“Age comes into play a little bit. You get used to things and learn new things. And I’m trying to get to know myself better. Ultimately, I hope this will help on the pitch and that I’ll continue developing further,” Sané said.
Sané’s roller coaster of a season in 2023/24 is something that Bayern Munich would — no doubt — like to see be a little less full of peaks and valleys. Plagued by injuries, a perceived bout with his confidence, and general fatigue, new coach Vincent Kompany — Sané’s former teammate at Manchester City — could do the winger a favor by controlling his playing time better than what Thomas Tuchel was able to do last season.
