Bayern Munich hold initial talks with Marseille winger Luis Henrique

April 4, 2025

Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany’s recent trip to France had meaning behind it; he was there to watch Marseille winger Luis Henrique.

Bayern are said to have already opened talks with the Brazilian about a potential move to the Bundesliga in the summer. The 23-year-old is a versatile individual who can play on either wing and would likely be a replacement for Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman or Leroy Sané, but talks about an extension with the latter are currently ongoing.

Internally, Bayern see the Brazilian as one of the best wingers in France, and the internal data seems to back this up. This season, the 23-year-old has played 29 times for Marseille and has nine goals and seven assists.

Considering that Sané will likely extend his contract, Michael Olise also already playing on the right, it seems that Bayern are slowly accepting that Florian Wirtz will not join the club in the summer and have begun to look at alternatives to improve the areas of the squad that need improving. They have also previously been linked to Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
