Barcelona Youngster Signs With Lazio on Free Transfer

June 30, 2024

Barcelona youngster Cristo Munoz has reportedly put pen to paper on his contract with Lazio after undergoing a round of medical tests.

The 19-year-old Spanish talent is a product of La Masia, having been with the club for years after having initially developed at UD Almeria and UDC Pavia, but has decided to leave on a free transfer in order to continue his progression.

Lazio have been keeping a strong eye on the free agent market ahead of this summer’s transfer window, wanting to find the right low-cost options to bolster Marco Baroni’s squad.

Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) details how Barcelona talent Munoz underwent his medicals with Lazio in recent days before putting pen to paper on a three-year contract in Rome.

In a few days, he’ll travel to Auronzo di Cadore to try and prove himself to Baroni, wanting to carve out a spot for himself in the first team next season.
