Barcelona trio compared to club legends after Real Madrid masterclass – ‘Like Messi, Ronaldinho, Iniesta’

October 27, 2024

Barcelona’s resounding 4-0 victory against a star-studded yet timid Real Madrid side at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night has garnered unanimous praise from all quarters.

Among those who have been left heavily impressed by the Blaugrana juggernaut under Hansi Flick is former Barça player and club icon Thierry Henry.

And the Premier League Hall of Fame member did not hold back in lauding Barcelona’s performance against Real Madrid last night.

Indeed, Henry lavished huge praise on Flick’s brigade with a devastating remark, saying: “European teams fear Real Madrid, and Real Madrid fears Barça.”

“Barcelona has become a team of settling scores. After Bayern, it was Real Madrid’s turn,” he added.

Not stopping at that, the former Arsenal and Barcelona superstar was effusive in praise of the individual talents on display last night, highlighting the likes of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Pedri and comparing them to club legends.

“Lamine Yamal plays like Messi, Raphinha like Ronaldinho, and Pedri like Iniesta,” said Henry, waxing lyrical about the Barcelona squad.

Continuing his praise, Henry remarked that watching this Barcelona side felt like the all-conquering team of 2011, before adding that opponents will find it hard to stop them.

“It’s like watching the Barcelona of 2011. The team has returned to what it used to be. Nobody will be able to stop them. They will win everything, and any team that stands in their way will suffer the same fate,” said Henry.

Having won two of the most important fixtures of the calendar against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, that too in some style, Flick’s Barcelona are making fans dream again after the disappointment of last season.
