Barcelona and Dinamo Zagreb seal permanent deal for 20-year-old winger

There were reports this summer suggesting that a certain Barcelona talent could be on his way out in search for more opportunities. Now, it seems that 20-year-old Dani Rodriguez will have his wish following the confirmation of a new move for him.

The Spanish winger will be heading to Croatia to continue his development and start the next chapter of his career. To be precise, he will be joining forces with Dinamo Zagreb on a permanent deal.

The side that he will be joining is undoubtedly a major side in their country of origin, and it means that they are willing to take their chances with the young winger based on the promise that he has shown. Despite always being seen as a very talented player at Barcelona as well, it just was not meant to be it seems.

As for the conditions of the deal itself, Romano has also stated that Barça have included a buy-back clause in the player’s new deal. This shows, at least to an extent, that the club has some faith in the player even now and could be willing to bring him back in the near future if he develops at an impressive pace.

Unfortunately for him, the competition at the club right now is simply too fierce for him to be able to compete with. Lamine Yamal is understandably untouchable, while the likes of Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and new signing Anthony Gordon will all be looking to fight for minutes next season as well.

Furthermore, with the club looking to sign a new striker this summer, the attacking positions are more or less covered well. Unfortunately for Rodriguez, that leaves very little room for opportunities for players like him, and that is exactly why he is making the move to Croatia.
