Atletico Madrid want to sign Marcus Thuram

March 3, 2023

Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Borussia Moenchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The France international is out of contract at Bundesliga club Moenchengladbach at the end of the season, and former La Liga champions Atletico want to secure his services on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.

Thuram has been on the books of Moenchengladbach since 2019 when he joined from French club Guingamp. The forward has established himself as one of best forwards in the Bundesliga, and there is no surprise that UEFA Champions League regulars Atletico are keen on signing him.

The 25-year-old, who played for France at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, made 19 starts and two substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Moenchengladbach so far this season, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in the process. Thuram scored eight goals and gave three assists in the Bundesliga in 2020-21 and scored three goals in eight Bundesliga starts in 2020-21.
