ATALANTA’S GIAN PIERO GASPERINI LIKELY TO REJECT NAPOLI

Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini has been linked with a move to Napoli but the Europa League champion seems likely to reject the Partenopei.

It was reported earlier today that Napoli have made an approach for Gasperini but Il Mattino (via CN24) have reported about the situation of the manager further, stating that the Italian might have already rejected the move to the Partenopei.

The feeling is that Gasperini is not convinced by the project on offer from Napoli and he is not convinced by the idea of departing the Bergamo-based side. He seems to be keen on staying in the city, which is where his kids and wife life and he doesn’t seem interested in leaving the area.

An economic offer has been made by Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis and their aim is to win the Scudetto with Gasperini, who will probably not depart in the summer. But as for Napoli, time is running out for them to make a decision about the new manager.
