Arsenal Want £100m Champions League Winger, Not Rodrygo
Arsenal are interested in signing Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon for the summer transfer window, but a deal is going to be tricky to do, according to BBC journalist Sami Mokbel.
Gordon has gone from strength to strength since arriving at St James’ Park at Everton, but there were times last season when Harvey Barnes was giving him a run for his money on the left-hand side. The England international dropped off in terms of his production in front of goal, with Jacob Murphy the main threat for the Magpies on the wing.
Arsenal are likely to be in the market for a wide player this summer, considering the inconsistent form of some of their options in the position. The likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have failed to hit the heights expected, while the loan signing of Raheem Sterling last summer turned out to be a huge failure.
