Everton can give player option to ‘continue his career’ – Friedkins connection would prove vital

February 22, 2025

In the summer of 2024, Everton were mentioned as a potential candidate to land Edoardo Bove.

The midfielder joined Fiorentina from Roma and he suffered a serious heart issue earlier in the season during a game against Inter Milan. This has ruled him out of playing in Serie A, where footballers can’t play if they use a defibrillator.

ViolaNews have reported today that England can be a destination for the 22-year-old and a decision about his future will be made in June. Until then, research is ongoing about what really led to him collapsing during the game against the Italian champions.

Meanwhile, interest from Everton has been reported by the outlet.

They believe that the Toffees can hand Bove the chance to ‘continue his career’ as the defibrillator regulations do not apply in England.

The player is a product of Roma’s youth academy and a supporter of the Giallorossi. The Friedkins own both Everton and the Italian giants and their involvement in a deal can prove crucial to Bove’s potential move to Goodison Park.
