Milan Ready To Listen To Offers For Unsettled Superstar

November 7, 2024

Serie A giants Milan are reportedly open to selling sought-after left-back Theo Hernandez amid a contractual wobble. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Rossoneri will listen to offers for their long-serving stalwart unless extension talks resume in the coming months.

Milan and Hernandez pulled the plug on renewal talks after the France international had a fallout with new manager Paulo Fonseca. On top of that, the Italians have deemed the 27-year-old’s wage demands excessive.

Indeed, Hernandez reportedly asks for a whopping €8 million per season salary to pledge his long-term future to Milan. Therefore, his career at Stadio San Siro is at a crossroads.

While there’s no doubt Milan will go above and beyond to convince their ace to stay, the situation doesn’t look promising. As such, they must prepare for a worst-case scenario.

With Hernandez’s current contract running out in 2026, Milan may have to consider offers for the ex-Real Madrid defender next summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer. But there’s still plenty of time for a change of heart.

There’s no shortage of interest in the Milan talisman. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are among several top European clubs vying for Hernandez’s signature. Both teams are in the market for a new left-back.

Meanwhile, Hernandez excelled on Tuesday night as Milan pulled off a stunning 3-1 UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid in Spain. The Frenchman and Rafael Leao carried the Rossoneri to a potentially season-defining victory at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
