QPR will be hoping a fruitful summer transfer window can stand them in good stead for a successful 2024/25 campaign.

QPR were in a bad way before Marti Cifuentes came in but the Spaniard worked brilliantly to turn around the club’s fortunes and guide them away from the relegation zone.

He now embarks on his first summer transfer window in West London and it will be hoped that some good business can help the R’s push back up the Championship table.

He’ll likely have to work under a fairly restricted budget, but there will be shrewd deals to be done.

Rocco Friel

Reports from Scottish outlet the Daily Record (Transfer news live, 07.06.24, 10:07) have said that QPR are set to kickstart their summer business with the signing of defender Friel from Hearts.

The 17-year-old has had interest from Derby County and Leicester City but is set to pen a four-year deal with the R’s.

Given the long-term links and claims a move is as good as done, this one looks likely to be wrapped up.

Ethan Mbappe

It was claimed by reports in France that QPR are among the ambitious admirers of PSG’s Ethan Mbappe.

The midfielder is poised to leave the Parisian club as his older brother Kylian joins Real Madrid.
