Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller impressed with Germany’s second half of 0-0 draw with Ukraine

June 4, 2024

Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller subbed on for Germany in the second half of the team’s 0-0 draw with a tough Ukraine side and thinks the squad made improvements over the course of the match.

“We came off the break very well and had a good start to the second half. Despite the substitutions, we kept creating chances. Maxi came so close and hit the post. We were a bit unlucky. We definitely deserved to score, but sometimes there are days like this. It’s always not good to fail to win, but I think it was a good game,” Müller said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

With İlkay Gündoğan not exactly lighting the world on fire at the No. 10 position, it will be interesting to see if head coach Julian Nagelsmann makes a change.
