PSG and Real Madrid Eye Arsenal Wonderkid Amid Contract Uncertainty

May 3, 2024

Paris Saint-Germain have never been shy about attempting to lure top teenage talents from other clubs, such as Xavi Simons. The latest teenage sensation that the Ligue 1 side could be looking at is an Arsenal standout.

Arsenal plans to include the young talent Chido Obi-Martin in their first-team squad for the upcoming pre-season tour in the USA. This move aims to ward off interest from prominent European clubs.

The Gunners can’t secure a professional contract for the young Dane until he reaches 17, which won’t happen until November. As a result, other clubs from Europe are reportedly circling.

According to Football Transfers, Real Madrid and PSG are among the teams monitoring the teenager. If no professional contract is signed with Arsenal, expect these clubs to swoop in.

Mikel Arteta’s decision to incorporate the young player into the team not only highlights his impressive accomplishments with the Arsenal U18 side but, more importantly, signals to the teenager that the Emirates boss sees him as a key part of the future plans.
