April 1, 2024

Former Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson took to social media to show his appreciation for one player in particular following the Reds’ victory over Brighton on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Brighton 2-1 at Anfield and returned to the top of the Premier League table, with Manchester City and Arsenal only managing a draw in their title clash later in the day.

Goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah completed yet another turnaround after Danny Welbeck’s early opener, with Liverpool holding on despite a nervy finish for a crucial three points.

However, there was one player who caught the eye of former Reds captain Henderson during the vital victory, with the Ajax midfielder jumping on social media to share the love.

JORDAN HENDERSON STUNNED BY LIVERPOOL ACE
Much like the entirety of Anfield, Henderson was left mightily impressed by the display of former Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister on Merseyside.

The 25-year-old was more or less flawless throughout and was the undisputed player of the match, producing aa wonderful assist for Salah’s winner in the second half.

Mac Allister posted to Instagram after the match and was quick to be praised by his current Liverpool teammates, while Henderson simply commented with a magic wand emoji.

It truly was a magical display from the World Cup winner, with Luis Diaz and Conor Bradley posting the same emoji underneath his post.

Mac Allister was the chief orchestrator for Liverpool on Sunday and looks far more comfortable since moving back into his favoured No.8 role.

It was a memorable display from the Argentine against his former club, with Mac Allister earning the approval of the former Liverpool skipper.
