‘XAVI’S FAULT’ – BARCELONA FANS FUME OVER VITOR ROQUE TREATMENT AFTER ATHLETIC CLUB DRAW

Supporters of Barcelona have flooded to social media on Sunday evening, to make their frustrations with head coach Xavi crystal clear.

This comes owing to the Spanish tactician’s treatment of youngster Vitor Roque.

Barca, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to the Basque Country for a testing La Liga showdown with Athletic Club.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana were forced to make do with a share of the spoils, owing to a hard-fought goalless stalemate.

And, as alluded to above, post-match, considerable sections of the club’s fanbase have pointed the finger of blame for as much squarely in the direction of their side’s headmaster.

As much comes amid fresh anger with Xavi’s treatment of Vitor Roque.

January arrival Roque would have marked something of a wildcard introduction to proceedings this evening, giving a largely untroubled Athletic backline something different to think about.

Xavi, however, thought it best to leave the Brazilian on the bench, giving rise to quite the backlash across social media.
