Achraf Hakimi and Kang-in Lee’s Absence to Impact PSG’s Early 2024 Campaign

December 5, 2023

A report states that Paris Saint-Germain will face a challenging start to 2024 as two crucial players will be absent from the squad for a significant period of time.

Le Parisien reported that Achraf Hakimi and Kang-in Lee will be absent from action for approximately a month in early 2024 due to their international commitments.

Achraf Hakimi, the dynamic right-back from Morocco, is gearing up to represent his nation in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), scheduled from January 13 to February 11.

Meanwhile, Kang-in Lee will participate in the highly anticipated Asian Cup, a football tournament for Asian teams, from January 12 to February 10.

For PSG, managing the absence of Hakimi and Lee will be a delicate balancing act. The Ligue 1 side will aim to compete on multiple fronts, including domestic competitions and possibly the UEFA Champions League, should the French giants qualify for the knockout stages.

The timing of these international tournaments aligning in early 2024 creates a logistical challenge for the club, as they must navigate fixtures without two influential players simultaneously.
