Mbappe dodges questions on PSG future amid Real Madrid links: “Too many rumours”

November 12, 2023

Kylian Mbappe has remained a hot topic in the European market, which is hardly a surprise as the forward is likely to leave Paris Saint-Germain when the season ends.

His current deal at PSG expires at the end of the season and the forward has shown no indication to renew his contract. Real Madrid are waiting on the sidelines, ready to pounce on any opportunity to sign the player on a free transfer.

Mbappe dodges question on his future
Naturally, Mbappe’s current situation has led many to question his future at PSG and a potential move to Santiago Bernabeu next summer.

But in a recent media interaction, the Frenchman has refused to comment on his future, suggesting there are too many rumours.

“Last summer trouble now forgotten? I focus on playing football as there are already too many rumours,” Mbappe said (h/t Fabrizio Romano). “I let you speak about other things, you do it well.”

The forward was speaking to the media after PSG’s 3-0 win over Reims, where he scored a stellar hat-trick.

“I’m happy with a hat trick but I just want to help the team,” Mbappe added.

Real Madrid on standby mode
Real Madrid have recently released a statement denying all the market speculation, but that should not deter the Spanish giants from eyeing Mbappe in the summer.

In fact, signing the Frenchman still remains one of the main priorities for Los Blancos as they look to improve the quality of their attack.

Acquiring Mbappe’s services will be a costly affair even with the player being available on a free transfer, but Real Madrid are likely to take the toll.

In fact, the club from the capital may eye moves for other players as well, with the likes of Alphonso Davies and Florian Wirtz emerging as top targets.
