Real Madrid midfielder outlines objectives for next season: “Win as many titles as possible”

July 26, 2023

Eduardo Camavinga has established himself as a regular name for Real Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti through his consistent performances last season. He spent a large part of the last season as a left-back but will play in his regular position in midfield for the upcoming term.

The 20-year-old started the Merengues’ game against AC Milan earlier this week and played 45 minutes, completing 91% of his passes and providing two key passes.

The French midfielder first spoke in depth about the upcoming fixture against Manchester United and the recent comeback win over AC Milan at Rose Bowl Stadium.

“It’s going to be a great match against a great team and I hope we win. Against Milan it was a bit complicated in the first part but we were better in the second and we won with everyone’s help. It has been good to win for motivation and mentality.”

Real Madrid went on a good run in Europe last season but ended the term with only the Copa del Rey and Club World Cup to show for it. Speaking about the upcoming campaign in terms of silverware, he said,

“We have a great team and good players. I hope we win as many titles as possible and I’m happy to be here and start a new season at Real Madrid.”

Ancelotti’s setup has a large scale of contrast in terms of experience, and the youngster highlighted the same point in his recent interview.

“We are a young but mature team. We have more years in mind and we are all good players.”

Finally, Camavinga spoke about the support in the stands during Real Madrid’s games in the United States of America and added that there were many Madrid supporters in the country.

“There are always Madridistas here. Also in all the countries I go to. I am happy that they are with us here and in the games.”
