Inter Milan President Steven Zhang Not Jinxing UCL Final Vs Man City: “I Learned In Italian Culture Not To Speak Before Finals”
Inter Milan President Steven Zhang has no intention of jinxing the upcoming Champions League final against Man City.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset after this evening’s Coppa Italia final win over Fiorentina, the Nerazzurr President emphasized that he’s learned from Italian culture that it isn’t wise to talk too much before a big final.
Inter have now been successful in their first of two cup finals at the end of the season.
The Nerazzurri came from a goal down to beat Fiorentina and defend last season’s Coppa Italia crown.
Next month’s Champions League final against City could be considerably more difficult, however.
The Cityzens will present the sternest of challenges for the Nerazzurri.
For his part, Inter President Zhang wants to wait until then and not risk jinxing anything.

Asked for his thoughts about next month’s final, Zhang replied that “I’ve learned in Italian culture not to speak before a final.”
“I can say that seven years ago we got back to the Champions League after some years away, and now we’ve gone onto win several trophies and reach several finals,” he added.
“These results are the result of a lot of collective work.”
“It’s hard to express the pride I have in the team and the staff,” Zhang said. “I share the credit with everyone.”
“Everyone’s efforts were brilliant,” he continued. “I’m proud of what they’ve done.”
“This team knows how to play in a final, and above all win trophies.”
And when asked being behind only Angelo and Massimo Moratti for titles won as Inter President means to him, Zhang replied that “We’re not thinking about it now, we’re focused on the next match.”
“The Moratti family are in the heart of Inter fans, I’m happy to pursue their record.”
