Aston Villa go after Kessie

According to a recent report from Sport, Aston Villa are confident they could secure a deal to sign Franck Kessie from Barcelona.

At the age of 26, the future of Franck Kessie is uncertain. The central midfielder made the move over to the Nou Camp last year from AC Milan and since then, he hasn’t done a whole lot to blow the doors off of the place.

He’s still a talented midfielder in the eyes of many, though, with Unai Emery being one of the people who has taken notice of that.

Villa have made a handful of impressive moves during the last few transfer windows and when we roll around to the summer, they aim to do the same thing.

They’d likely have to stump up some serious cash which may be the only issue. Still, if they can cement their place in the top flight in the weeks and months ahead, convincing him to move probably won’t be a problem.
