31-year-old Real Madrid veteran untouchable for club and country
It is no secret that a certain Jude Bellingham has been the centre of attention at Real Madrid this season. In all honesty, why would he not be? After all, he is currently the top scorer in La Liga and and has taken his form to the international stages as well.
Away beyond all the limelights though, club veteran Dani Carvajal continues to work in silence. After struggling with injuries in the recent past, the Spaniard is slowly getting back to his best and becoming an untouchable for club and country, reports MARCA.
“I believe that everything is body and mind, they do not occur for a single reason,” he said when asked about past injuries as quoted by MARCA.
“In 2021, I barely played 12 games, relapse after relapse… a tunnel from which I could not see a way out,” he added.
Caravajal is back and at his best
After a string of injuries in the past, Carvajal has once again established himself as an undisputed starter not just for Real Madrid but also for the Spanish national team.
The defender’s ability to blend both physical prowess and mental acumen has resulted in a renaissance of sorts. His stellar performances now illuminate both ends of the pitch.
At Madrid, he is shining with Federico Valverde and Rodrygo, and on the international stage, he recently provided two exquisite assists against Cyprus, setting up Ferran Torres and Joselu.
